Life is but a dream…

Living it one day at a time.

2010 arrived with me having:

  • 13 active (or semi) active WIPs*
  • 8 hibernating projects**
  • 13 bagged “Stash Roulette” projects (all planned for 2009 and not a one touched the whole year. Oy.)

I’ve cast on for 3 more projects since (one Stash Roulette which is now nearly half done –go me!!, one TKE knitalong –Fireside cabled cardi, and one pair of fair isle mittens whose pattern intimidates the hell out of me).

The point of all of this, you ask?

Well, it’s not a New Year’s resolution since I always fail those miserably, but it is my intention to have at least all of those 21 WIPs/hibernators off of the needles, whether it be it by the preferred method of finally finishing them up, or frogging if I find that I’m just not into them anymore. That’s the plan. I don’t want to go into 2011 with anything that came into 2010 already on the needles.

I’d also like to have completed 6 of the 13 stash roulette projects. They’re mostly socks or one-skein projects, so this could definitely be doable.

Maybe.

I better get knitting.

It’s damn hard to update your blog when nearly everything you are working on is of the top-secret nature. That’s why I’ve been so quiet.

However, I think it’s safe to say that the Munchkin’s Cabled Hoodie Cardi is nearly complete. While this pattern gave me complete fits and I was nearly reduced to frogging it completely when it was almost finished, Amy [insert ass-kissing here as she is my FABULOUS boss *grin*] convinced me to soldier on, and to skip the hood. I’m very pleased with the results and hope that I’ll be able to bind off on the collar and seam the underarms tomorrow, and possibly finish up with the zipper next week. Photos soon.

Until then, though? I have Christmas gifts to work on, and less than 25 days to finish them. Ciao.

Ilene è finito November 11, 2009

Lately, I’ve been working to get projects off the needles despite my constant desire to cast on something new. This morning I finished my Ilene Bag.

Yay! I’m absolutely thrilled with how it turned out!

And since I’m at home today with a sick kiddo, maybe I’ll make some progress on the gift(s) I’m working on :)
